Welcome back to The Bloom Blog, where handmade charm meets seasonal magic! If you’re looking to dress up your front door this fall, you’ll love this festive and playful Halloween wreath tutorial featuring a cheeky crow, vibrant ribbon combos, and eye-catching embellishments.
In the video below, Marianne’s Boutiques walks you through creating a whimsical Halloween crow wreath that blends humor, color, and seasonal flair. The result? A fun, bold statement piece that screams (delightfully!) “Happy Haunting!”
One 18" pine wreath base
Deco mesh in Halloween colors (orange, black, purple, lime green)
2.5" and 1.5" wired ribbon in seasonal patterns (polka dots, candy corn, stripes)
Chenille stems or pipe cleaners
Hot glue gun and scissors
A bold focal piece, like a plush crow or scarecrow
Embellishments: faux candies, spiders, glitter pumpkins, witch hats, etc.
Marianne layers her mesh beautifully, alternating colors and textures for a full-bodied look.
The crow focal piece adds a playful personality to the wreath and anchors the design.
Ribbon tails are fluffed and curled to add volume and balance. Marianne uses contrasting widths and patterns to create dynamic movement.
Extra embellishments like candy picks and glittery accents help tie it all together and make the wreath pop.
